About
Welcome to the staff page of Off the Track.
Emma L., a senior and la Capitán of the Newspaper Staff, does not get easily embarrassed, and hates when waiters refill your drinks before you are done. Her favorite sport is Musical Theater, and she is a big supporter of Team Jolie, which doesn’t make her a bad person. Recently, she has gotten rid of her shrine of Ashton Kutcher pictures, and has moved on to Jake Gyllenhaal. She spends her free time watching reruns of “Hannah Montana” and “Hey Arnold!” and procrastinating on facebook.com. She has trouble waking up in the mornings, but lives for Fridays. She likes to watch “Aladdin” (the genie is her favorite Disney character) while eating chocolate decadence cake from Whole Foods and playing with her dogs. She will never ever go skydiving, and just make sure you never say “same difference” or “guesstimate” around her.
Amy P., a Junior, would most like to take David Beckham to lunch, “because he is like totally my boyfrann.” She hates getting scratches on her computer, and only has three, after having her computer for two years! She loves pens and apples, and is addicted to Chinese food. A morning lover, she too loves “Hannah Montana” and Dane Cook and constantly uses the word “totally.” Although she likes dark and rainy (gloomy) weather, she will never be brave enough to get a new phone. She loves cheese pizza, but the one thing she can never get enough of is Troy Bolton…” GO WILDCATS!”
Megan M., a Junior, does not wake up easily in the mornings, but her favorite day is “Monday because I am so anxious to get back to school!” A shuffle-board fanatic, she feels she can identify with Minneapolis, and loves dogs, even though Charlotte Young doesn’t. The person she would most like to take to lunch is co-staff member Amy Preston, but she will never be brave enough to stand up to her. Megan detests Angelina Jolie and Justin Timberlake, but loves barbeque chicken pizza and rainy days. She collects Madame Alexander Dolls and her idol is Rico from “Hannah Montana.” Her biggest accomplishment is having run five blocks.
Emma B., a senior, loves riding horses (her favorite sport is jousting) and the word “fever,” but hates when people smack their food. She loves being inside in a movie theater, especially because it is so cold inside. A dog lover, she watches “Scooby Doo” and “Courage the Cowardly Dog” everyday after school. However, her favorite character is the black panther from “The Jungle Book”: Bagheera. She detests the band Creed and oranges, but loves thunderstorms and SUPER TERRY. Emma thinks collections are creepy, and spends her time facebooking and eating bread. You can easily identify Emma by the pen stains she gets on her shirt from chewing on them, and which Mr. McLetchie constantly gives her marks for. She is also a sexy beast.
Shannon B., the only new Senior staff writer on Off the Track, loves world history and apples, but hates Britney Spears. She is a member of Team Jolie and likes to swim, but would never sky dive. She gets easily embarrassed, but in spite of that would really like to have lunch with Bill Clinton, perhaps over some New Orleans seafood. In New Orleans, she would rather spend her time inside on the University of Google website, but in places such as DC she would much rather be outside in the fall since she likes cold weather. She also enjoys watching Hannah Montana, so she fits in well with the rest of the staff.
Megan K., a junior, is one of the few staff supporters of Team Jolie and loves the word “mutual.” Her perfect world would be one with out Saran Wrap and with European Handball on TV 24/7. She can relate with the feel of the Windy City and would live outside if she could. She thinks Rafiki is one smart little monkey and would take Stephen Christian (of Anberlin) to lunch any day. Her room is filled with her collection of Kid Robot toys and band memorabilia. A snow bunny, she lives for Fridays and History class. Megan is the perfect person to go to when you have a question, because she can never say no!
Olivia J., a junior, would like to take William Beckett (of The Academy Is) to lunch somewhere in Tuscany, where they could then play European Handball. Her greatest accomplishment is not having broken her red glasses, especially when she gets angered over fake people. A very unencumbered person, she gets easily embarrassed and can never wake up in the mornings. She collects artwork, dogs and Amy Winehouse memorabilia (just so she can burn it). She is the one staff member who cannot stand “Hannah Montana,” and instead supports “Hey Arnold!” She spends her free time wishing she could be like the people on thecobrasnake.com and watching Dane Cook clips on youtube. She, like almost all the other staff members, supports Team Aniston and loves pepperoni pizza. Olivia is afraid to death of the ocean, because she cannot bring herself to swim with fish
